The PC software can only be used when the MCP-x51 USB interface has completely been detected and installed
by the operating system. Therefor the start up sequence is as follows: |
Q: | I keep getting the message "Error 49 USB <any action> Command Fail" |
A: | It is not needed to turn off the power of the programmer to change a component in the ZIF socket. When the Action LED is OFF, and the PC software is not communicating with the programmer, any IC in the ZIF socket can safely be removed or replaced. |

Basically operation is reasonably simple. If you look well you will notice a line with arrows
in the "Source" part of the screen. In this screen you have to perform your first series of
actions:
The lower part of the screen has controls the several programming process and options which may vary depending per device type:
You can also perform a sequence of actions by clicking the Play [>] icon. All programming actions of which the select box have been enabled will be performed. |
